Melbourne Arena (formerly know as Hisense Arena)
Located in Melbourne’s world-famous sporting precinct, Melbourne Arena is a state-of-the-art , multi-purpose venue.
For major events such as the Australian Gymnastics Championships, public transport is recommended as the most effective mode of transportation. A short walk from Flinders Street train station via the William Barak footbridge, allows visitors access to the City Entrance of Melbourne & Olympic Parks, and a taste of some of Melbourne’s beautiful gardens and green spaces.
Due to limited parking in the area, patrons are strongly encouraged to use public transport.
Public transport is the quickest way to get to and from Melbourne Arena. Trains, trams and buses operate frequently.
Train stations within easy walking distance: Richmond, Jolimont, Flinders Street
Tram stopping at Hisense Arena (stop 7B): Tram 70 (Wattle Park)
Bus routes with stops within easy walking distance: Bus 605 (City – Gardenvale) stops on Olympic Boulevard Bus 246 (Latrobe Uni – Elsternwick Station) stops at cnr Olympic Boulevard and Punt Road

There is limited event parking throughout the Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) precinct. Melbourne Park car parks are accessible via Entrance D, off Olympic Boulevard.
M&OP has recently invested in a new automated parking system for patron convenience and surety when attending events at our venues. Customers can pre-purchase their parking via the M&OP booking website, this option at $20 represents a 33% saving on the walk-up fee ($30) and is strongly recommended.
Bike parking is available outside Rod Laver and Melbourne Arena. Patrons are required to supply their own lock. Melbourne & Olympic Parks are not responsible for any loss or damage to bicycles secured on site.
A Bike Share station is located on Batman Avenue, in front of Rod Laver Arena forecourt. Lockable bike racks are also available at the Eastern Plaza carpark next to Melbourne Arena. These require a swipe card as they are secured and monitored by ACG.
